BEATLES
Think For Yourself
Mega rare 1965 UK 7" one-sided mono metal acetate of the George Harrison song which was issued on the Rubber Soul album.
This acetate was cut by recording engineer Ken Scott, as indicated by the initials "KS" written at the right of the label. Also written on the label is 45, artist, title, a date of "10.11.65", time of "2.17" and "MILLIE".
This acetate was once owned by Paul McCartney's aunt Millie Kendall, who was married to Albert Kendall ("Uncle Albert"), so of course it originally belonged to Paul McCartney himself. This information comes from the included letter of authenticity from Tracks Ltd. UK.
Acetate was “play tested” to assess sound quality and it played well with some noticeable background noise. Visually the play surface is starting to show signs of age and light deterioration, so we recommend limiting future playback to preserve this rare artifact. The label is clean, but it does have some light staining and proper aging. The blank 'B' side has some cracking to the lacquer.
Included is a 2015 CD transfer, as done by professional mastering engineer Michael Graves. 100% guaranteed authentic acetate, not fake like many acetates offered online.
Here on offer is a Beatle-owned acetate of a song composed and sung by a different Beatle!
