Signed Thank You Note To Roy Carr
Thank you note from Elton John to Roy Carr, a former English music journalist and editor of NME and Melody Maker. The typed portion of the letter reads, "Dear Roy & all the liggers, Just a short note to thank you for your kind thought whilst I was ill. It was greatly appreciated." Beneath that in black ink, Elton inscribed, "However some of the comments about my album [indecipherable] last week might give me a relapse!" It's then signed "Love Elton X". Also included here is a sheet of typed directions to Elton's house in Berkshire , with a small handwritten note wishing Roy luck getting there and providing a phone number if he had any issues.
