BEATLES
Fully Signed With The Beatles
1963 mono original UK LP cover only (no record). Back cover has been autographed by all four band members: Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. Each has signed beautifully in a thick black felt tip marker, resulting in signatures that are both extremely large and bold. Each autograph varies in size between 5" and 6" long! These signatures are twice the size of Beatles autographs normally found on an album cover.
Paul McCartney also inscribed “To Kalina love from The Beatles” on the front cover. This album cover was signed by The Beatles on January 12, 1964, following the band's performance on the ATV television show "Sunday Night at the The London Palladium", which was sort of the equivalent of The Ed Sullivan Show here in the US. The album was signed at a party at singer Alma Cogan's house after the show, for British journalist Peter Noble and his wife Marianne Stone, obtained for their daughter Kalina.
There is a photo of Ringo Starr holding this very album, along with a “Please Please Me” that The Beatles signed for Kalina’s sister Kara, shortly after both were signed by The Beatles. It is extremely rare and desirable to have a photo of one or more of the members of The Beatles holding an item that they have signed. The original photo is not included, only a low resolution scan.
This is one of the most visually impactful and impressive Beatles signed albums in existence, due to the size and boldness of the signatures on it – which can be clearly seen from a great distance away.
Although this cover is not in great condition, most of the wear and tear appears on the front. The back cover has some tanning from age, but the large, bold signatures are unaffected and this would look stunning framed!
Includes letter of authenticity from Frank Caiazzo, the world's foremost Beatles signature expert, as well as a Rockaway Records LOA.
