BEATLES & OTHERS
Our First Four
Rare 1968 UK set of four Apple 45s in promo only 9.5" x 13" cardboard presentation pack with colored photo/bio folders for each 45. These were given to British radio stations and members of the press to celebrate the first four inaugural releases on the Beatles' Apple Records label.
Includes Beatles (Hey Jude), Mary Hopkin (Those Were The Days), Jackie Lomax (Sour Milk Sea), and Black Dyke Mills Band (Thingumybob). Each 45 is housed in a plastic sleeve which is mounted inside its folder.
Unfortunately, the composition of the plastic holder has reacted with the vinyl of the 45s and hazed the surfaces, rendering them almost unplayable. However, these are easily replaceable as they are UK commercial issues (not promos). The cover has some creasing, small tears and wear along the folded edges. The Beatles 45 has a "Factory Sample Not For Sale" promo sticker on the 'A' label.
