VELVET UNDERGROUND

2024 test pressing of audiophile reissue of 2LP set originally released as a single LP in 1970 by Cotillion. Discs play at 45rpm. Generic QRP test pressing labels on sides one and three have printed sticker with date of production (02-21-2024), catalog number (AAPA 034-45), side delineations, artist, and title affixed to it. Plain white labels on sides two and four. Plain white covers have info sticker affixed at top right corner on front.

Tiny pressing defects in side B trail-off area do not affect play.

The matrix etchings on this test pressing are slightly different from the released version (side B), making this cut from an earlier lacquer. It is unknown whether it differs sonically in any way from the released version, and it is unknown why it had to be re-cut before release.
