This collection represents the complete 110 title collection of Music Matters Jazz Definitive Edition "Review Copy" series, plus the two remaining titles from the series which were never issued with "Review Copy" labels (Kenny Drew "Undercurrent" and Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers "Big Beat"), making a total of 112 unique 2LP sets with gatefold covers. Discs play at 45rpm. Roughly 40 full sets of LPs were originally curated by Music Matters head Ron Rambach and reserved for the internal Music Matters team as well as a few copies given to members of the press to review. These discs were some of the first copies off the line at the pressing plant. Instead of traditional replica Blue Note labels, they have Plastylite "Review Copy" labels. 

Each cover in this set has a sticker on the back exclusive to these sets. These discs are all numbered "0021 in the set.

These records came from a local audiophile collector who immediately re-sleeved each disc in Diskkeeper sleeves and placed the covers in double gatefold plastic sleeves upon receiving them. As far as we can tell they remained unplayed since receiving them in 2023. We're leaving them as-is so as not to disturb any of the discs or covers.

An unbelievable opportunity that does not come along often! Only four other numbered "Review Copy" editions have come up for auction before, numbers 28, 31, 39 and 40. This set represents the lowest number edition ever publicly offered for sale!
