DECAYES

A lot of six LPs by The Decayes, released between 1978 and 2014, which spans the group's entire recorded output. These were founding member Ron Kane's personal copies, which he kept in an LP carrying case for safekeeping as his most treasured and personal variants of each record he pressed.

"Ich Bin Ein Spiegelei" is numbered "Proof / 100" on the front cover, includes the obi and info sheet attached on back with a few handmade touches ("Cover design by Ron Kane (stencils too)" written on back. Includes what appears to be a postage-paid postcard on Virgin UK letterhead to "Kane Audio Ltd" from 1979. Disc has Ron's ubiquitous "Property Of Ronald Kane" sticker affixed on side one label. 

"Accidental Musik" includes the yellow A4 photocopy insert as well as two flyers for an appearance at the Licorice Pizza in Tustin, CA and another photocopied flyer that includes a kind of mockup of the album art with a "9.99" price sticker. On the back cover of this LP is handwritten, "To Gwynne, I realize that I'm a few years too late to really autograph this to you and have it mean anything...but here it is... Love, Ron Kane P.S. this album really sucks!"

"Not Yet" has the artist and title stamped on the front cover, but includes a lengthy handwritten screed signed by Ron Kane on the front cover. Song titles and credits are also handwritten on back by Ron. "Kane Audio Ltd." and "Property Of Ronald Kane" stickers on back, and "Property..." sticker on side two label. Includes blue A4 photocpy insert, as well as photocopy of the LP labels, and a flyer for an appearance at the Licorice Pizza in Tustin. There are a couple scuffs and tears (?) in the cover. 

"HorNetZ" is still in its original shrink wrap, with title insert and credit insert. It also includes a business card with contact info for Ron and the Decayes. 

"Ten Guitars" is the standard copy on Jayrem Records (New Zealand) LP you often see. This copy has "Property Of Ronald Kane" stickers on the back cover and side two label.

"Aquarium" has a small yellow sticker on the back cover, and is hand-numbered "#1 of 300". It is dated "2014 first day of spring!" and signed in black marker by Ron Kane. It includes the track-listing and credits insert. 

It's hard to call this a "must have" for fans of The Decayes, as it is a singularly unique collection of LPs recorded, produced, and held sacred by their late creator/owner.
