BEATLES

Yellow Submarine / Eleanor Rigby

$12,000.00

Super rare 1966 RED vinyl 4" flexi-disc. Very few examples of this flexi were manufactured by Ameridisc as prototypes for quality control testing purposes only. In late 1968 and 1969, Americom, as the company became known, would issue Beatles black vinyl 4" flexi-discs using the Apple Records logo of "Hey Jude", "Get Back", and "The Ballad of John & Yoko". These were sold commercially, mostly in custom vending machines with a generic "Pocket Disc" cover for about fifty cents. Probably only six or so BLUE vinyl test pressings are known to exist and some of these do not have the record information printed on either side. There is also a BLACK vinyl version. This RED vinyl version was virtually unknown until recently. It will be listed in the next edition of the Perry Cox US Beatles Price Guide and currently only two or three copies are known to exist on red vinyl. This is one of the all-time rarest US Beatles records! Vinyl is scuffy, but both sides play all the way through, though with moderate background noise. No cover issued but we have included a generic blue "Pocket Disc" cover.
